God is ALWAYS in Control

My younger sister is battling cancer, and the Doctors haven't given her very good odds, but the Doctors don't know everything and her faith is strong and she's surrendered to whatever God's will is in this situation. God, after all, is the Great Physician, Jehovah Rapha (kurios ho iômenos se) — the Lord your healer.

Something happened a little while back that showed us once again that God is ALWAYS in control. My sister and her and 10-yr-old son were in a horrible accident that totaled her car. She was driving him to school and was going about 25 miles per hour when a woman came from her left, running a stop sign at about 25-30 mph. The woman's car hit the left back of my sister's car taking off the bumper, bending the frame, and sending car parts flying everywhere, and spun my sis and her son around in the middle of the intersection, and at the same time the other car also spun around, and the two spinning cars ended up hitting each other at least once more, maybe twice, and then both cars came to a halt with the other car jammed into my sister's driver side door. My nephew was screaming and crying, and my sis said all she could think of was that neither one of them appeared injured, so she was saying, "It's ok, we're ok - God protected us - we're ok." The woman in the other car also walked away from the accident.

She said after the adrenalin subsided and she'd stopped saying, "Thank you, Jesus" about a hundred times, God spoke to her heart clearly and said, "Don't you see? Your life is in my hands. I alone decide your future and how long you live. You are safe in my care. No matter the cancer, or auto accidents, or any other danger - only I decide when you will come home."

It's that way for all of us. Sometimes we need to be reminded.

Allow me please to offer a word of encouragement for your sister's cancer. As you may have guessed from some of my own posts at my place, I am working to cure diabetes in my own body. I have been shown via research, the bible, and plain old common sense, that much of what our doctors tell us is misguided at best, criminally negligent at the very worst. I have heard stories of cancer being cured though diet, and prayer. I believe these stories because God designed our bodies to heal themselves. Unfortunately, the American diet doesn't provide the basic building blocks for the body to repair much of anything.

It is true. God IS in control. But God also expects us to be good stewards. Not just of our finances, our time, and our families, but also of our bodies. If we work dilligently at being good stewards of our bodies, good health is sure to follow.

The road I would advocate toward a lasting cure is not cheap, but not prohibitively expensive either. I'm seeing success in keeping my blood sugars down... so much so that in a few months I'll begin trying to wean myself off of the diabetes med I'm on.

I'll not try to sell you on anything, but if you're interested, I'll gladly tell you what I'm doing, and why I believe it could also help your sister.

God bless,

Eric

Of course, we are always interested. But rather than discuss this on my blog, please email me. Ms.green.email@gmail.com

If I don't respond right away it's because I've crashed. I worked a 12 hour day today after a night of no sleep.

Glad to hear your plan is going well for your diabetes.

Why not keep this an open conversation? The information is much needed for all to receive. elashley is completely on target about the American diet and our stewardship, as you are about our Father's intimacies in our lives. We belong totally to Him and all He does in our lives is a demonstration of His glory.

Brent suggest an open conversation. I guess I didn't realize there might be an interest other than from my sister and me. So be it. Eric, we'd love to hear what you have to say!

Thanks, Brent.

Sorry it's taken so long...

Here's a short history of the modern American diet... With the advent of electric appliances such as electric stoves, a major source of nutrition was lost... wood ash. When folks used wood stoves, the resultant waste was ash-- though the ash really wasn't waste.

Throughout the centuries the earths soil has slowly been leeched of nutrients. As a consequence, a cantalope grown today has far less nutritional value than a cantalope grown 120 years ago. Wood ash was used as a fertilizer... it would get tossed into the garden, rain and subsequent watering would move those nutrients into the soil where vegetables would soak them up and put them in their respective fruits. Not so today. Fertilizers today generally contain only three chemicals, one of which is nitrogen, but the body needs 90 essential nutrients daily for optimal health.

Think about it... Man was created from the dust of the earth, thousands of years ago. The dust of those days, contained far more minerals; nutrients and metals than does the soil of today. It only stands to reason, that all these nutrients we don't now get in our diet contribute to disease in our bodies.

Another factor in our diet is all the artificial bunk the FDA and the 'wisest' of doctors have injected into our food. Prior to the Great Depression, a new oil arrived on the market, but no one wanted it... Lard was cheap, and food cooked in lard tasted better. But after the Stock Market crash of '29, the price of everything went way up. Lard was suddenly expensive. But Crisco, an artificial oil, was cheap and the poorest of the poor began to use it. One problem with all these fake oils, though.
The body can't process them properly. In my case (diabetes) the cells of my body are too sticky, sugar cannot get past the outer membranes. The pancreas then produces more and more insulin to compensate, and viola! Type II Diabetes. An interesting note here, prior to the introduction of these new and better oils, type II diabetes was rare.

My point here is this. The body requires food and nutrients that are natural... not processed, not man made. When the body doesn't get these things, its ability to fight off disease, illness, and infection are greatly reduced.

Why are so many children fat? Why are so many younger and younger children coming down with type II diabetes-- a disease that was once rare, that struck only adults... hence the term 'adult onset'?

Every disease known to man, can be be either cured or its effects greatly diminshed through proper supplimentation. I don't suggest a cancer patient WILL be cured through diet alone, but abstaining from everything artificial (especially sweeteners like aspartame, and splenda) will at the very least give the body all it needs to recover from chemo-therapy and give their body a fighting chance of actually winning against the cancer. Disease, I firmly believe, cannot thrive in a body that is healthy and nutritionally strong.

Please don't take my word for anything... research it yourself. I recommend the products at Youngevity... that "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" guy, Dr. Joel Wallach.
I thought he was a real kook at first, but the more I studied, the more I realized the average doctor believes his/her/medical industry's dogma... diabetes is incurable. Cancer can only be treated through chemo and radiation therapy. And most are willing pushers for the drug manufacturers. I take only one drug. And that's my diabetes med. God willing, and if I can make permanent changes in my diet, I will be off the medication soon. I don't even take aspirin... after all, when I get a headache, it's not because I have an aspirin deficiency.

The following is from the top of Youngevity's Products page... sorry for taking up so much space in your comments...

"You must give your body all the raw materials it requires to maintain and renew itself in order to achieve healthful maximum potential. But those raw materials so vital to your health can be hard to find. Centuries of mining, farming, irrigation and acid rain have eroded life-giving minerals from our soil. These mineral-deficient soils are then used to grow and cultivate our food. Because of this, our food may be lacking in the essential minerals. In fact, Dr. Wallach has stated "one sentence has killed more people than all the wars in American history. . . You get all the nutrition you need from the four food groups." All Youngevity® products are designed with this principle in mind. Our products are packed with the finest minerals available. Mined from deep within the mountains of Utah, these minerals are harvested and added to create our products. Along with a healthy lifestyle that includes a proper diet and exercise, these products can help you live a fuller life. When it comes to mineral supplementation, you should use only the finest products available - Youngevity® products! When you go shopping, there are always generic brands and imitations vying for your attention. But when it comes to your health, do not accept any imitations. There are no quick-fixes, no silver bullets, and no shortcuts. The only way you can heal your body is to give it all the raw materials it needs to run stronger, faster and longer."

These products are offered in a manner in which those who enjoy wholesale prices can also enjoy a nice income, assuming they're busy selling product. I don't want to sell you anything. You owe it not only to your sister, but to yourself and your entire family to explore what God's word says about nutrition, and then ask yourself... with all of our advances in medicine and science, why are people sicker today than they were a mere hundred years ago? Doctor's pooh-pooh the idea of supplimentation, and natural cures, because of the indoctrination they get in medical school. Some maliciously keep their patients sick to keep a steady income coming in. That may sound jaded... but common sense tells me it's true. I could go on and on... but... if after you've researched this for yourself, and want to ask any questions I'll happily tell you everthing I know.

In the meantime, research... google... pros... cons... find out for yourself. And then pray about it.

May God richly bless you and yours

Eric
