Why is it that one word can have so many different spellings and nobody seems to notice or care?
The word is not in Merriam Webster online at all - under any of the above spellings.
Wikipedia.org says Hezbollah and Hizbollah are correct. The only thing I can come up with is that it is a purposeful misspelling to irritate them – like President Bush saying “Sa-damn Who-sane” and “O-sam-a Bin-laid-en”
Hezbollah means “Party of God”. lol
I propose we call them Hezbozos

hizbullies - I like that - "hiz" referring of course to Satan himself.
HAHAHA! Just like al-Qaeda... No one spells it the same way twice; you can't say Hezbollah the same way twice!
Is it a gender modifier?
Like "his and hers"?
You know--hiz and hez--possibly a dialect thing!
"Party of god" somehow reminds me of the front cover of the original "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" album.
"Hez" may be a designator for those grenade Launcher Grannies!
