Hez Hiz Bullah Ballah Bollah

Hez Hiz Bullah Bollah Bollah

No, I'm not speaking in tongues.

Hizbullah – The Jerusalem Post
Hezbollah – Toronto Star, Asia Times, Jewish World Review
Hizballah – Front Page Magazine, Cybercast News
Hizbollah – The Jordan Times, Sky News

Why is it that one word can have so many different spellings and nobody seems to notice or care?

The word is not in Merriam Webster online at all - under any of the above spellings.

Wikipedia.org says Hezbollah and Hizbollah are correct. The only thing I can come up with is that it is a purposeful misspelling to irritate them – like President Bush saying “Sa-damn Who-sane” and “O-sam-a Bin-laid-en”

Hezbollah means “Party of God”. lol

I propose we call them Hezbozos

hizbullies - I like that - "hiz" referring of course to Satan himself.

HAHAHA! Just like al-Qaeda... No one spells it the same way twice; you can't say Hezbollah the same way twice!

Is it a gender modifier?

Like "his and hers"?

You know--hiz and hez--possibly a dialect thing!

"Party of god" somehow reminds me of the front cover of the original "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" album.

"Hez" may be a designator for those grenade Launcher Grannies!
