Another Reason to Not Vote Democratic

In spite of all that is going on it the middle east and around the world concerning radical Islam, there are still other issues to address here at home that have nothing to do with the Bin Ladens and Hassan Nasrallahs of the world...

The headline reads “Democrats aim for more gay delegates in 2008”.

Basically, the article says just that. The DNC recently adopted new rules that will increase the number of LBGT delegates at the 2008 Democratic National Convention…”to correct past underrepresentation of gay people among delegates”. The last census showed us that homosexuals make up less than 1% of the population.

The 2004 convention had 255 openly GLBT delegates present, representing 48 states and three territories – up from 212 representatives at the 2000 convention.

According to Wikipedia, the delegate count was 4322.
1% of that is 43 delegates.
The GLBT delegates numbered 255 – so according to my calculator, that put them at just under 6% of the total. Looks to me like the problem was not underrepresentation, but overrepresentation.

So let’s see what percentage of the Democratic delegation will be homosexual at the next National Convention. Anybody want to take a guess? My guess would be more like 10 to 15 % .

This is just another example of how the Democratic party and its platform is incompatible with Christian values.

Well said. At the same time the Democratic Party tries to pretend that it cares about people of faith. What hypocrisy! Their over-representation of the GLBT people is irritating on the one hand, yet it is one of the many things that doom them to keep losing ground. If they weren't so adamantly pro-gay marriage and pro-abortion they would win every election.

At what point of percentage does the Democratic National Convention turn into a debauchery-filled Gay Pride parade with leather chaps, g-strings, cross-dressing, and simulated sex acts? 10%? 15?

Can't wait to see THAT air during prime time!!!

ELashley, that thought hadn't occurred to me... and unfortunately, that may be closer to a reality than we think.

(shudder)
