Fathers Day 2008
First of all, Dad, I know you read my blog sometimes. I just want to say thank you for being a dad who cares, who has been so generous through the years to his children, and for always being there with a joke to brighten things up for everyone or a mental challenge to be pondered and researched. Most of all, thank you for your leadership in our family as we we growing up - and for loving Mama and being the man of the house. In her final days here on earth, she frequently told me that you were her personal angel whom God sent to care for her in this life.
And to my husband, my best friend, my lover, and the Daddy to our children. Thank you, for your love, your spiritual leadership, your kindness, your discipline of our children, your unselfishness in always trying to put me first. I love you, respect you, and gladly submit to your spiritual authority because I know all the hours you have spent praying and begging God's guidance in your life.
To my sons. I know you've had some rocky times, but your love for your children is a blessing to behold. Thank you for being good daddies to your kids.
I know Father's day is for the guys, but I feel especially blessed on this day. I would not be able to make this post today if it were not for the generousity of my heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord, for all you've done for me, your child.
