A year gone by

It's been almost a year since my last post. So much has happened. In my last post, I talked about the sleeping giant that is the conservative movement in this county - and in part, my predictions have come true, in that the conservatives threw out the liberals and the RINOs in great numbers in this last election. I believe the best is yet to come, in 2012.

However.

More and more I see that the two-party system in this country is a trap. By dividing the country in half, and having us fight each other (liberal vs conservative), the greater enemy continues to slowly chip away at our freedoms, our bank accounts, our families, our land ownership, and our way of life.

I'm coming to the point where I see Republicans and Democrats as being on different sides of the same coin. Both parties are heading our country toward a cliff. It's just that the Democrats will drive us over that cliff more quickly than will the Republicans. Either way, we're going to crash and burn, and right now the party in power has us in hyperspeed toward that cliff.

Just as Bush Senior and Clinton are political foes on the surface, but are golfing buddies behind the scenes, I believe the same holds true with the new members of Congress coming in January. They're going to talk the talk, but not necessarily walk the walk, because they are for the most part, different sides of the same coin as the Democrats. I hope they prove me wrong, but I'm not holding my breath. I have a feeling that 2012 will see us throwing a lot of the new guys out on their backsides because they didn't come through like they said they would.

Ms. Green, so good to see your back. I agree with your views on the present and upcoming new crop of pols. I personally believe that nothing will be fixed in any meaningful or constructive way. Too much compromising and lack of moral guidance or integrity. I see the nation sliding down a very slippery sloop that will ultimately end in disasters of unparalleled levels not experienced up to now. I know you will agree that II Chron. 7:14 is the only real answer. Herm
