Louisiana Abortion Ban - and Planned Parenthood Whines
Governor Kathleen Blanco of the Bayou State recently signed into law a state ban on all abortions except where the life of the mother is in danger (SB 33, the Human Life Protection Act).
This law will not actually take effect until either the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade or until a Constitutional Amendment is passed that allows states to do so. Sadly, there’s probably not much danger in either one of these things happening any time in the near future, but in spite of that fact, Planned Parenthood (see It’s Not About Choice, It’s About Money) had to whine anyway.
Here is their statement:
They said the new law “endangers women’s health by criminalizing abortion at a time when the state is still recovering from Hurricane Katrina and scrambling to prepare for the start of the new hurricane season.”
I wonder how long it took them to come up with that one. Since when does the weather have anything to do with abortion??????
Someone enlighten me here.

LOL! really! Katrina is becoming an "excuse" for everything, gee whiz!
LOL! The weather = danger to mom/baby. That's funny! I can't believe they even said that!
