Obama : "Give him a Chance!"

"Give him a chance"
"Wish him well"
"Hope he succeeds"

I’ve heard the above phrases a lot since the inauguration.

The problem is that as a Christian, I can do none of these things. In fact, I’m commanded not to do these things.

Scripture is clear that we are not to condone or encourage evil or evildoers.

Scripture is my guide. Not political correctness.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: II John 1:10

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. II John 1:11

He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD. Proverbs 17:15

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. Proverbs 28:4

Obama’s plan to increase the number of babies slaughtered, along with his plans to further legitimize homosexuality as a normal and acceptable lifestyle, and his promotion of socialism are not things on which I can wish him well nor hope that he succeeds.

He puts terrorists' “rights” above the safety of the citizens of this country.
He puts convenience for women above the sanctity of the lives of the unborn.
He puts the demands of the immoral above the beliefs of the majority.

I pray he fails.
I pray he is unsuccessful.
I pray his agenda is stopped.

Having said all that, I also pray for his safety, as well as for the safety of his family, and I pray that God will change his heart and save his soul.

Prayer for him to have wisdom is all the support I'm able to give, everything he believes in will destroy our freedom and I hope he fails.

Abso-freakin'-lutely! I think, when the libs were demanding that we work together during the Bush days, it was that we give their policy proposals consideration. Having done so and finding them wanting, they act as if we shut them out. Their positions and policies are garbage and don't work. They are harmful to our nation. Why would any thinking person even pretend to give failure another chance? And as for their social positions, they are equally wrong, harmful and unworthy of serious consideration. One simply does not give bad ideas a chance. New ideas, something never before suggested or tried, maybe, but not that which is already known to be a bad idea.

Good to see a new post, Ms. Green. I was beginning to wonder.

Ms. Green,

Yep, I agree.

I almost get nauseous when I hear the platitudes that "We wish Obama to succeed."

I pray he fails in every anti-Christian, Socialist trick in his bag.

I also pray for his salvation in Christ alone -- the Only Way.

In Christ eternally,

ExP(Jack)

I couldn't agree more. I hope he fails at his "current" agenda, but I pray that God gives him a new one. One I can support.

Ms.Green, Well stated and on point as usual.
My tendency is to look at this new administration with a telescope from a distance rather than close up with the microscope. I see all the signs and indications of far more serious issues and developments as Obama's philosophy and stated goals unfolds. I believe that Obama is not entirely a self made personality. He is partly the product of numerous and odious philosophical manipulations, not excluding Socialism and Marxism. Make no mistake, he is a dangerous enemy of Christianity and Freedom. Just as Elijah proclaimed to Ahab, I Kings 17:1, that it would not rain on Israel for several years, we must pray that God will dry up all of Obama's wells and prevent all of his dangerous agendas from coming to fruition. Yes, I too, wish him no success. God Bless, Herm

I pledge to give Obama much more support than his followers gave Bush.

As, I suspect, we all pledge.

Sean Hannity has recently interviewed Rush Limbaugh and they spoke of this very subject. Needless to say, Rush echoes our sentiments. Like us, he wants America to succeed and like us, doesn't believe Obama's policies will get us there.
