Bible to be Popular with Homosexuals and Liberal Christians?

I really did think I'd heard it all, but of course, there's always something even more perverted, more disgusting, and more blasphemous that ever before.

When I first heard about this, and after looking at this website, I thought surely that it was a parody, or just a sleazy joke, but several online publications have picked up the story, so I'm pretty sure it's legit.

The Princess Diana Gay Bible is scheduled to be published soon.

Basically, this book trashes Christianity and mocks Jesus Christ. Should be very popular.

Which makes it all the more abhorrent.

God's grace...in this case, by not having already utterly destroyed this world, is a truly amazing thing in itself. His love for such a foul people such as us, who have spit in His face and set ourselves up as gods, is, as you said, unfathomable.

Amen. To think that He died for us all. When I look at my own sin, it sickens me. I must go often & draw on His oceans of mercy for me. Yet I realize that the wickedness & deception of Satan is also deep. His attempt to destroy God's word will fail, yet it will also likely cause the destruction of millions who will latch onto this perversion. We must keep getting the genuine out so the false is exposed. May teh Lord bless you Ms. Green for alerting us.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! ~ Isaiah 5:20

The "creator" of the Princess Diana Bible asks, "There are 116 versions of the Bible, why is any of them better than ours?"

I'd take the time to answer that question, but what would be the point? As Jesus explained in His story of the rich man and the beggar, He has Moses and the Prophets. If he doesn't believe them, he will not believe me.

Your point is valid, Mark. The man had to have read the Bible in order to re-write the Bible. It had no effect on him, or he wouldn't be blaspheming a Holy God and His Word. He most likely will one day be, sadly, as the rich man, wanting to warn others, but to no avail.

I think it is revealing that they didn't just tweak a couple parts to rationalize homosexual behavior. Their world view demanded a virtually complete re-write.

Y'all took this bait? Wow. This "project" is an insult to gays, specifically gay Christians, as much as it's an insult to WRITING and cleverness.

Sorry, ER, but I believe the term "gay Christian" is an oxymoron.

As for it being an insult to gays, we'll see how the sales go for it.

Mrs. Green,

I'm reminded of those people I've encountered in my life whose miserable lives motivate them to covertly backstab those who call them "friend" for no other reason than to create misery in another because it makes themselves feel a little bit better about themselves.

I doubt homosexuality inspired those who thought up this perversion. I suspect it is an extreme hatred for the God they deny and towards the people who acknowledge that God.

They hate us because we have something they do not.

They hate us because of what whom we have believed in represents. They hate us because we love Him.

Generally speaking, when a group cannot abide a satire of itself, that satire contains more truth than they care to admit.

This site looks to be aimed at the belly laugh and designed to point out foibles in some Christian beliefs. In that respect it is much like the Flying Spaghetti Monster or an article from The Onion.

Sometimes a joke is just a joke.

DL,

Everyone has something that is sacred to them, and that is something they can't appreciate being mocked. It may be their faith, their sexual proclivities, their race, their children, their work, but there is something... Even you have something in your life that would cause you to be offended if someone mocked it.

That is why the term "hate speech" was invented.

My faith, my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, is something very sacred to me, and I do take great offense to mocking and inflammatory remarks about it. So what is a belly laugh to you is a sad, hollow place in the pit of my stomach.

Thanks for stopping by.
