Influential Conservatives and Liberals

Over at the London Telegraph, they have a listing of the 100 most influential Conservatives and 100 most influential Liberals.

The lists are both pretty much what I expected, give or take, although I strongly disagree with the order of both lists. Please. Rudy Giuliani should not be #1 on the Conservative list. There should be a "Moderates" list. - Rudy could top that one. And I think Ted Kennedy should be much further toward the top of the liberal list. In addition, the liberal list names guess who at #98:

CINDY SHEEHAN
Activist

Became America’s most prominent anti-war activist after her son Casey was killed in Baghdad in 2004, founding a “peace camp” outside President Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas and was arrested frequently at demonstrations.
Her influence has waned, however, as her behaviour has become increasingly erratic and he has begun to direct much of her ire against the Democratic party, which she believed is insufficiently anti-war. Has vowed to run for Congress against Nancy Pelosi should the House Speaker fail to take steps to impeach Bush

Since when is a media hog considered influential?

But then, this is a London perspective of American politics. The Brits don't have much of a clue of what's really going on over here.

Really! Rudy? The No. 1 "influential" Conservative? Why is Rush not in that place? Or Newt? Or anyone but a left leaning Moderate like Giulliani? Who did they ask? Liberals?

Oh, that's right! Brits! Folks who don't understand American conservatism.

I know,Eric. Seeing Rudy at the top of the list was laughable. But I guess to Brits he would seem to be very right wing.

Ms Green, The Brits don't reflect the American Social Conservative wing accurately. But, there does seem to be some strong disagreement among Christians on this subject. I read an article recently on some christian blog that the top evangelical leaders are split between Rudi and Huckuby. I personally have problems with both of them. Newt isn't running and Duncan Hunter just don't have a chance. I believe Christians are facing some extraordinary challenges in determining God will for our nation and its future. IIChron. 7:14 still holds the marvelous answer. Amen. God bless, Herm

Rush Limbaugh shiuld be number 1 on the Conservative list. No one, but no one has more influence over Conservatives than Mr. Limbaugh. Even the Libs seek to either anger him or placate him with their policies.
