A Backslidden Muslim is better than a Backslidden Christian

A backslidden Muslim is better than a backslidden Christian.

Ms. Green, you are a Christian. How can you say that? Don’t you believe (in fact, you have said, in so many words) that Christianity is the only true religion and all others are false? Don’t you believe that only Christians who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior will go to heaven? How, then, can you make the statement…

A backslidden Muslim is better than a backslidden Christian.

What is a backslidden Christian? It is a Christian who is not following the will of God as revealed to us through Scripture.

The Bible tells us, among other things
Not to commit murder ( Exodus 20:13)
To forgive others (John 8:7, Matthew 6:14-15, 18:21-22)
To love our enemies and in fact, pray for them (Matthew 5:44)
To be truthful to all (Exodus 20:16)
That men should love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25)

So technically, a Christian not honoring these passages would be backslidden.

Now let’s look at the Muslim religion.
It teaches, among other things,
Murder gets you rewards
Females in your family that commit sexual sin should be killed to protect the family’s honor
Infidels should be killed and not associated with
It is ok to lie to non-believers
Wives are possessions and should be treated as such

A Muslim who does not honor the above passages is backslidden, and is not really following what their religion teaches.

In worldly terms, then the backslidden Muslim is a better person than the backslidden Christian – because of the religion that they follow.

However, in God’s eyes, neither of them is any better than the other.

For there is no respect of persons with God. Romans 2:11

Thankfully, for both Christians and non-Christians, God is not a respector of persons. In other words, He sees two types of people – those who have been saved and those who have not. He does not prefer one over the other. He loves us all equally – saved and lost alike. He died for us all – saved and unsaved.

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. I Timothy 4:10

So everyone has an equal chance to go to heaven.

Christians are no different than the lost as far as being sinners.

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:12

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

The difference is that we’ve admitted who we are, and admitted there is nothing we could possibly ever do to earn heaven, so we accepted the free gift Christ gave us through the cross.

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:31

No one is saved through their good deeds.

Trust in Jesus is the reason – the ONLY reason we Christians are going to heaven, whether we are backslidden or not. And that is the reason that no Muslim can go to heaven - backslidden or not.

Oh my sister,

Please stop talking about non-believers like Muslims. There is only one God. If people don't believe in Jesus, let them face the consequences.

Praise the Lord.

Let’s analyze Anon’s remarks about and to me.

I’m a Muslim propagandist
I make Christianity repulsive
I commit ignorant acts
Christianity and western civilization will wipe out Muslim sympathizers like me
I’m an angry person
I’m sympathetic towards terrorists
I side with Naziism and the beheading of Christians.

Now, in Anon’s latest post, he/she calls me sister.

Anon, I’ve told you once what I think of your posts, and it evidently didn’t sink in.
If you want to have a civil and intelligent discourse about anything I’ve posted, you are welcome. However, you are rambling and nonsensical in your comments and do not portray the heart of a Christian, but rather the mind of an antagonizer.

True Christians want to see all of mankind saved – yes – even the terrorists. Because that is what Jesus Christ came to do – save sinners.

Wanting to see people saved doesn’t mean one condones or sympathizes with their actions. If you want to know how I feel about terrorism and the “Religion of Peace”, spend a little time here and read some of my other posts. Do a search for “Muslim” or “Islam” in the search box.

Quit coming around trying to start something. You are wasting your time. This is your last chance. I didn’t post your previous comment, and the one I just posted may be your last unless you change your tone and attitude. If you don’t, I’ll just ignore you.

The ball's in your court.

Well, that took no time at all.

Anon, you are a slow learner. You're going to have to find another blog to agitate.

Let me leave you with a few Scriptures before you go.

"Go from the presence of a foolish man when thou percievest not in him the lips of knowledge." Proverbs 14:7

"If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest." Proverbs 29:9

I don't intend to contend with you anymore.

I agree that a backslidden Muslim is better than a backslidden Christian, because if you are wrong about something.....the further you get from it - the better off you will be. mom2
