If Obama Wins
The lyrics and the video below seem apropos in light of the strong possibility of an Obama presidency.
President Barrack Hussein Obama. What an awfully strange sounding term. I'm going to do my part today to help stop it from becoming a reality. I prayed and fasted all day yesterday. I'll pray and vote today. God help us, though we don't deserve it.
Mike And The Mechanics: Silent Running lyrics
Take the children and yourself
And hide out in the cellar
By now the fighting will be close at hand
Don't believe the church and state
And everything they tell you
Believe in me, I'm with the high command
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
There's a gun and ammunition
Just inside the doorway
Use it only in emergency
Better you should pray to God
The Father and the Spirit
Will guide you and protect from up here
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
Swear allegiance to the flag
Whatever flag they offer
Never hint at what you really feel
Teach the children quietly
For some day sons and daughters
Will rise up and fight while we stood still
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?
Can you hear me running (can you hear me calling you?)
(Can you hear me) hear me calling you?
(Can you hear me running) hear me running babe?
(Can you hear me running) hear me running?
Calling you, calling you

An awesome song, Ms Green.
An awesome group of musicians, as well.
Al Ozarka! How are you. Haven't heard from you for awhile.
Busy, busy, busy, Ms. G!
And just about burnt-out on politics, you know?
I do TRY to offer a word or two now and then!
I'm sort of burnt myself, but we can't give up.
"We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;" II Corinthians 4:8-9
Interesting tidbit of trivia...
"Mike and the Mechanics" was actually "Paul Davis and Genisis".
Take heart!
The pendulum swings.
After Carter came Reagan.
"After Carter came Reagan."
But is there a Reagan among us? One can hope and pray.
