Enemy of my Enemy

We on the right are aware of the contempt that the radical liberal left has for our Constitution. Occupants of Congress, and even the White House itself have shown their unashamed disregard and disrespect for the sacred document that our country is founded upon. Presently we have the Harry Reids, Nancy Pelosis, BHOs, and let’s not forget the former president Bill “I loathe the military” Clinton. Even George W. showed some disregard for the document, though not nearly as egregiously as the present occupant has. Our mainstream media has been in bed with these Constitution haters increasingly more often, and as in any person’s life who is hiding something, sooner or later they’re going to slip up and the truth is going to come out.

Alan Keyes makes some excellent points on this subject today about a remark that liberally biased Chris Matthews coughed up concerning the President’s recent visit to West Point.

Here is an excerpt:

But America's military leaders have been educated to respect the authority of the Constitution, not that of any given individual or faction. As this safeguards the liberty of the people, it also makes the professional discipline of the military a reliable friend to all government officials who act with respect for its constitutional provisions. If Obama faction zealots like Chris Matthews instead see the educational home of that military tradition as the "enemy camp," their apprehension speaks tellingly of their own deep abandonment of the constitutional loyalty they apparently fear in the honorable defenders of the Constitution.

My enemy is the liberal who hates what the founding Fathers of this country envisioned. The enemy of my enemy is the US armed forces, who have sworn to uphold the Constitution. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Got a letter in the mail the other day from none other than the Department of Health and Human Resources Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I'm wondering if anyone else who reads it will find it as disturbing as I did.

It read as follows:

From the Director of the National Center for Health Statistics:

I am asking for your help with an important study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) called the National Immunization Survey (NIS). This survey tells us which vaccines people in the U.S. have received and about other important health topics. Results from the NIS are used to help health officials in their efforts to improve health care programs. In the next few weeks, the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago will call your household to take part in this study for CDC.

For this study, we need to ask about vaccinations and about children's health. Some households also may be asked about the health services their children need or use. If you have a child between 18 and 35 months of age, it would be helpful to have your child's immunization records handy when answering our questions. However, you can also answer these questions without the records.

Your phone number was chosen randomly by computer. It is important for us to interview every household we call to get a complete picture of your area's immunization rates and key factors that might affect them. The study is important, but you do not have to take part, or you can decide not to answer one or more questions.

The letter then goes on to give information about a toll free number you can call to participate in the survey immediately or to find out what types of questions will be asked. It also gives a web address.

The last paragraph includes these words:

Your answers to the NIS will provide information to help improve the nation's health now and in the years ahead...

The really interesting part will be if they actually call me - because I don't have a land line and my cell number is the only number I use.

We're from the Government. You Can Trust Us

A recent audit of the Massachusetts law enforcement agencies uncovered abuse of the state’s criminal records system. It seems law enforcement personnel have improperly and illegally searched for information on “high profile” citizens for reasons other than official business (i.e. curiosity, ill intent, etc.)

Some of the things searched for were driver’s license numbers and photos, home addresses, car ownership, social security numbers, gun purchases, etc.

The US Government is putting more and more information together about its citizens – much of it without the citizens’ knowledge. We’re supposed to feel comfortable about that?

How will Obama’s proposed National Medical Records Database be abused and used against its citizens? Add that to the GPS coordinates being taken on every household in America, Google’s Street View, and proposed Internet control and surveillance

Big Brother won’t just be watching you. He’ll be writing a biography.

Fear is not an Option

My husband has a shirt that says “I support P.E.T.A”

The shirt is bright yellow, and draws a lot of attention. But most people miss the smaller print underneath the larger letters.

Even my brother and sister-in-law, who are vegetarians, chuckle at this one.

The other day he was getting his truck washed, and as he came up to the cashier to pay, she did a double-take at his shirt, smiled, and then leaned over and whispered, “I like your shirt!”.

She continued whispering. “Ever notice how a lot of the same people who are so radical about protecting animals support the killing of humans through abortion?”

“Yeah, doesn’t make sense, does it?” He whispered back.

They then had a conversation about the state of our country at the moment, with frequent pauses so that other customers could pay her for their vehicles. They discussed the administration, the liberal direction it is taking us, and how far we are being shoved from the values on which our country was founded.

Their conversation ended with a common Christian goodbye. “God bless you.”

When he later told me about their conversation, I started thinking about why the woman would feel the need to whisper. I know my husband whispered to be polite, because she was whispering. I’m fairly certain that she whispered because she was afraid someone else in her place of business – one of her customers – might be offended at something she or my husband said.

Isn’t that just what we’re finding ourselves doing more and more? Whispering? Why?

Fear. We are being forced into fearfulness. Fear of “offending” others. Fear of ridicule for our beliefs. Fear of retaliation. Fear of our government.

Fear of being destitute is causing people to horde their money due to the economic crisis we are in.
Fear of being called a racist is keeping people from speaking out against Obama.
Fear of the government ignoring the second amendment – or even abolishing it – is causing people to horde guns and ammunition.
Fear of being called bigoted or holier-than-thou is keeping Christians from sharing their faith with others.
Fear of others not like ourselves (racial, ethnic, religious differences) is keeping people from being friendly to strangers.
Fear of being called names like “homophobe”, “anti-social”, “racist”, “intolerant”, “close-minded”, or “extremist” makes us wary of voicing our opinions in public.
Fear of crime is keeping people holed up in their homes behind bars and security systems.
Fear of rejection is resulting in more and more people being less and less connected with others, and choosing to socialize in the “safer” environment of the Internet community.

Homosexuals know how to use fear as a weapon. If anyone dares to speak out against their perversion, they’re called names and they’re verbally intimidated.

Abortionists know how to use fear as a weapon. They tell women that we are trying to tell them what to do with their “own bodies”. They call pro-lifers radical extremists.

People like Rosie O’Donnell know how to use fear as a weapon by labeling Christians as terrorists.

Groups like the Brady bunch (as in Gun-Control activists) know how to use fear as a weapon by labeling law-abiding citizens as “nut cases” because they support the 2nd amendment and own and know how to use weapons.

The Obama administration knows how to use fear as a weapon. It is using the “economic crisis” to push through its socialist style agenda , knowing that fear of an economic collapse will keep most from objecting.

The administration’s plan to put together a “Civilian Security Force” will cause people to stay distanced from each other through fear.

Taxing the AIG bonuses (unconstitutionally, I might add) at 90% puts fear in those who are achievers.

Don’t make waves. Don’t criticize government. Don’t overachieve and bring attention to yourself. Blend in. Get along. Compromise. Be agreeable. Don’t be different.

There is an old German saying that says “"Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is."

I refuse to be afraid.

I won’t be afraid to speak out against wrong when I see it. The wrongdoers should be afraid of me.
I won’t be afraid of my government. My government should be afraid of me.
I won’t be afraid of sharing my faith. It is the lost who should be afraid. I should want to help them see the danger they really ARE in and show them the way out.
I won’t be afraid of criminals. I purpose in my heart to protect myself against them. They should be afraid of me.
I won’t be afraid of strangers. They could turn out to be my friends and confidantes.

I won’t be afraid to voice my opinion in public, and I won’t be afraid to contact my Senators and Representatives and let them know how I expect them to vote on issues.

And what if, by chance, I do become frightened? There is only One I can turn too.

More Deception and Lies from the Media

I recently warned about the media's deception about the effectiveness of gun control laws.

Well, once again, the media is lying to us. This did NOT happen.

The media is saying that a convicted felon, with a history of violent assault with a deadly weapon, killed two police officers and wounded a third –with an “assault weapon”.


This story did not happen. It can't happen. It won't happen.

Don't believe the media! California, like Illinois, has some of the strictest gun laws in the US:

An application for sale or transfer must be made with a licensed California gun dealer before any firearm may be sold or transferred.

The purchaser must present the dealer with a valid California Driver's License or a California I.D. Card and supply their thumbprint.

The CA DOJ will conduct a background check on each buyer at a fee.

There is a 10-day waiting period before delivery of any firearm.

It is unlawful for anyone convicted of a felony, or who is a drug addict, present or former mental patient, ever committed for mental observation, or acquitted by reason of insanity to own or possess any firearm.

People with certain misdemeanor convictions involving force or violence may not possess or own any firearm within 10 years of the conviction.

It is unlawful to carry a loaded rifle, shotgun, or handgun in any public place or on any public street in an incorporated area or an area where firing a firearm is prohibited.

Gun laws KEEP THIS KIND OF THING FROM HAPPENING!

This story did not happen. These police officers are still alive and no one was injured, because CALIFORNIA has TOUGH GUN LAWS, just as ILLIONOIS has TOUGH GUN LAWS.

Are we seeing a pattern here?

The Second Amendment

I've seen this video before, but it's been years. Everyone who thinks gun control is a good idea needs to watch this. My thanks to Ex-preacher man for sending this to me - I'd forgotten about it.



The most important thing she said (and I'm paraphrasing) was that the Second Amendment is not about duck hunting or recreational shooting. It's about protecting ourselves not only from criminals, but from a tyrannical government.

We have a mortgage crisis, and the Senate approved 25 billion dollars in loan guarantees for US automakers yesterday?

Automakers are forced by the government to make their cars more “energy efficient” and “environmentally friendly”. The cost to meet these government mandates soars, so the government steps in and guarantees loans to the automakers. (Sound familiar, as in “guaranteed mortgages”?)

Do people not see what is going on here? It is the socialization of America and the slow death of personal property and free enterprise.

There is a great article here about Judicial Activism that not only explains the many ways Judges overstep their authority, but suggests things we can try to do about it.

The next president of the United States will be appointing judges not only to the Supreme Court, but other Federal courts as well. With McCain looking like the Republican nominee, I’m not sure it’ll make a lot of difference at this point. However, in light of the article I mentioned above, I thought I’d quote a Scripture I found the other day that speaks to those who would sit on the bench.


And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city, And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment. Follow up on Previous Post

Because of a response I had on my previous post, I wanted to do a follow up.

Brian, I am not picking on you. I believe you are sincere in what you said, and want to be a good steward of God's gift of the earth to us. I just don't know if you've thought through your response:

Get reusable cloth bags?
Walk to the store and only carry as much as you can fit in your backpack?
Use paper bags made from recycled content?

I respect anyone who wants to be a good steward, and we should do what we can individually and collectively to help keep our environment safe. However, too many, even in Conservative circles, have bought into the lie that man is the primary cause of Global Warming, or that we are somehow “evil” and are harming “mother earth” because we are industrialized and have been able to invent products that make life more convenient. Should we do all we can to stop intentional polluting and damage to the air we breathe and the water we drink. Yes. But not with knee jerk reactions that are supposed to make us feel better about outselves but do nothing to really help with the problem.

The notion that getting rid of plastic shopping bags is going to help the environment is ridiculous.

Do you realize how much plastic you personally use? Are you willing to give up all plastic? Then you may have to give up the following:

Automobiles (most autos are full of plastic)
Electricity in your home (electrical wiring, outlets, and appliances utilize plastic because it is non-conductive)
Many cooking utensils and containers
Your computer
Many of the furnishings and appliances in your home
Most of your cleaning products and shop items (most come in plastic containers)
Many of your food items that you buy every week (milk, ketsup, margarine, bread, etc. etc.)
Toys for your kids
Picture frames
Calculators, copy machines, fax machines, etc.
Toys for your pet
Eating out (especially take-out and fast food)
Your air conditioning and heating units (they both contain some plastic components)
Many of the books you read
Storage containers
Make-up (hopefully only if you are female)
Sports equipment

Etc. Etc. Etc.

On using reusable cloth bags. I buy about $150-$200 worth of groceries a week. Do you know how many bags I'll have to buy to package all that? The last time I checked, those bags range from $7 up. I estimate I'd have to spend a minimum of around $100 just on bags.

On walking to the grocery store. I would have to walk 2 miles to the nearest grocer - and that would take more time than I have. Plus, carrying only what I could put in a backpack would mean I had to walk back and forth much more often. I buy too many groceries for this option. And what about handicapped and elderly individuals who can't walk?

On using recycled paper bags. I don't have a problem with this one that I can think of. I ask for paper bags when they are available, simply because I can get more in them than a plastic bag and they don't have handles that tear if you load them too heavy. However, that still doesn't elimate the fact that there are many more items made out of plastic than shopping bags - and recycled paper products can't do what plastic can do in most cases. Besides, it takes much more energy to produce recycled paper than plastic, so there's another down side.

Years ago, the US and several other countries banned R12 refrigerant to "save the ozone". This caused prices to go up in the automobile and contruction industries as well as many others - but did little to help the environment - for one thing, there are still many countries around the world that still produce R-12 and tons of it are smuggled in and sold on the black market each year.

Sometimes in an attempt by the goverment to "protect us from ourselves", there are unplanned consequences that are equal to or worse than the thing that was to be regulated in the first place.

So, to reiterate my earlier statement...

The notion that getting rid of plastic shopping bags is going to help the environment is ridiculous.

Pagan Prayer for our Nation

As I watched the video of Hindu Rajan Zed, with the few minutes of interruption by the only Christians who had any boldness at all (we’re not talking about any Christian senators, mind you), and heard his prayer, I found myself crying. God forgive us, I said under my breath, for allowing a pagan Hindu priest to offer up prayers to his false gods on behalf of our country.

So who invited the Hindu chaplain Rajan Zed to lead prayer in the Senate?
None other than Harry Reid.

Reid, who is a Mormon, said afterwards “I think it speaks well of our country that someone representing the faith of about a billion people comes here and can speak in communication with our heavenly Father regarding peace.”

Our heavenly Father? He shares His glory with no one.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Reid would have no problem with a polytheist offering prayer. Mormons are also polytheists, believing that there are many gods, and that they themselves will be gods one day.

Mormons, Hindus, Muslims, Atheists, they all have one thing in common. They deny Jesus Christ as Lord, Saviour, and God.

The most disturbing aspect of this all is the reaction of many bloggers to the Christian protesters who were arrested for causing a disturbance. The outcry was not about having a pagan lead in prayer, but in the Christians’ protest. What did these horrible protestors say?

The three Christian protestors were heard to shout:

“Lord Jesus, forgive us Father for allowing a prayer of the wicked, which is an abomination in Your sight,"

“No Lord but Jesus Christ" and

"There's only one true God."

For this they were arrested and put in jail for causing a disturbance.

The protestors were seen as haters, intolerant bigots, and worse – words I won’t post here.

More and more, Christians are seen as “haters”. And yet we aren’t the ones committing the violent crimes against those that don’t believe as we do. The unbelieving world is definitely blind to the spiritual forces at work.

Border Fence Too Expensive

One of my new favorite writers, Vasko Kohlmayer, has written an article entitled The Myth of Expensive Border Fence. In it, he dispels the ridiculous claim that a border fence costs too much. In the process of reading the piece, the same question kept resurfacing in my mind. What, then, is the real reason the federal government says we can't afford a border fence?

Could it be because the Liberals see a whole new voter base from which to draw?

Could it be there are kickbacks coming from companies which benefit from low-paid workers?

Could it be because there is a plan in the works to join the three countries, Canada, USA, and Mexico into an alignment similar to the European Union?

Could it be that the ultimate goal is to dissolve the sovereignty of our country and turn us into a proletariat state?

Can’t have a one world government in place until the US is no longer a power to be reckoned with.

I don’t want to press “1”.

If I call my electric company, I have to press “1” for English.
If I call my phone company, I have to press “1” for English.
The same goes for my bank, my mortgage company, etc. etc.

I was in the pediatrician’s office a few months ago with my nephew. The cartoon network was on. The cutsie little cartoon characters were intermittently speaking in English and then in Spanish.

This is the United States of America for cryin’ out loud!

I found out recently that English is not the “official language” of the United States of America – at least not at the federal level. It is, however, the official language in 25 of the 50 states, and there is a grass roots effort to make it the official national language as well. (Who’d have thought that would ever be necessary!)

The most recent statistics I found say that 82% of the population of this country speaks only English at home – that’s from age 5 on up. Now as far as my publicly educated brain can determine, that means that only 16% of the population speaks another primary language. So why do I have to press “1” for English in over 90% of the business phone calls I engage in!!?? It couldn’t be indoctrination, could it? It couldn’t be that the government is trying to acclimate us to the inevitable?

By law (key words here), in order to become a naturalized citizen, one must be able to speak English. But hey, if you don’t follow one law, why should anyone expect you follow another? If you aren’t in this country legally, why learn the language? You don’t have to speak English to apply for welfare. The government employees will meet you on your level – in your language – so you can get your rightly deserved free meal ticket. After all, you worked hard running, walking, swimming and climbing over barriers to get to this country. The least the government can do is agree to support you for the rest of your life now that you’re here.

Guess I’d better go and brush up on my Spanish. I suspect that the new North American Union is going to come out with an official language, and I’ve got a hunch it’s not going to be English. Might offend someone.

Treason

Treason.

A pretty strong accusation to levy against someone. Over at Eric’s blog, Harry Reid has been accused of treason, and it has caused some controversy.

Article III Section 3 of the US Constitution says:

Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

Title 18, USCS, (Crimes and Criminal Procedure) Section 2381 of the Federal Statutes which is the Federal Statute implementing Article III, Section 3, of the Constitution, further defines treason as follows:

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or be imprisoned for not less than five years, and fined not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding office under the United States.

In the case of United States v Haupt, D.C.III., 47 Supp. 836, 839 expanded the definition of treason to mean any act which 'strengthens or tends to strengthen the ability of the enemies of the United States or which weakens or tends to weaken the power of the United States to resist such enemies.'

Based on above, I’m here to say that not only is Harry Reed guilty of treason, but there are others in Congress, in Hollywood, and in the general public as well that are just as guilty. The list, unfortunately, is long. Harry Reed, Alec Baldwin, Cindy Sheehan, Sean Penn, Nancy Pelosi…and others too many to mention. I invite readers to add to the list.

If we don’t get some men and women in political office soon that have some backbone, our country is going to fall from within. I am personally sick of listening to the likes of Reid, Pelosi, and those that would have our troops retreat back to American soil with the Islamofacists dancing on their rooftops and shooting off their mouths and rifles in victory.

As I heard one man say, if Harry Reid insists on saying we’ve lost the war, then let’s make him tell us who won.

That’s right. Make him say it.

The Terrorists Won. Say it, Reid.

If we lost, then they won. Evidently, that’s what you want.

And guess what the terrorists want, Reid.
They want your head. They want your death.
They want the death of your family – your children – your friends.

You are weakening the power of the United States to resist such enemies. You are giving the enemy aid and comfort with your words.
Yes, sir. You are a traitor. You and the rest of your ilk, with tunnel vision that see only one thing – the Presidency.
You insult the fine men and women of our military.
You insult the office of the President.
You insult your countrymen.
And you insult me.

Win or Go Home

Here is an excellent commentary on the present war in Iraq. It basically says what a lot of us have been saying: If you are going to wage war, go to win. If you don't have the stomach to do what it takes to win, then go home. Here are some excerpts, for those who don't want to read the whole thing:

Although the United States has sustained more than 3,000 battle deaths and has spent billions of dollars in Iraq, the nation's overall fight against Saddam Hussein and his successors has been marked by hesitation and half-steps.

That's how wars are lost.

The Allies won WWII against Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan with an all-out effort and resolute orders from the top. President Franklin Roosevelt called for "total war" on the Axis powers. He demanded "unconditional surrender."

Roosevelt's reference to "total war" was not mere rhetoric. Total war means everything belonging to the enemy is a potential target – their factories, their cities, even their civilians.

...when the US has fought "total" wars during the past 150 years, it has always won, including the Civil War and World War II.

As the US fights its one-handed campaign, the insurgents are waging their own version of "total war": It's not just US and British forces being targeted in Iraq, but mosques, churches, open-air markets, restaurants, shops, government buildings, street corners – anywhere people gather. The carnage is spreading.

What is immoral is war itself. Once full-scale war has broken out it can never be humanized or civilized...."

Defeated indeed. The insurgents will win unless we resolve to fight a "total war".
Randy Taylor over at Northeast Intelligence Network gives a perfect description of Islam. It is like a vicious dog. If you stand your ground, chances are good that the dog will back down. If not and you are bitten, at least you saw it coming and were able to defend yourself in the best way you could. If you run, however, the dog becomes emboldened by your fear, chases you down and attacks you with even greater viciousness. If we retreat and hole up here in the States, the Islamic terrorists (viscious dogs) will bring their total war to our neighborhood. Then we'll all either have to lock and load or start praying toward Mecca five times a day.

Agroterrorism

Remembering the recent spinach related deaths and the subsequent recall of the tasty leafy treat nationwide, here’s something interesting to think about. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is having its “second annual International Symposium on Agroterrorism in Kansas City, a week-long summit of law enforcement and agriculture officials on the front lines of preventing, detecting, and investigating intentional attacks on the U.S. food supply.” Seems they are looking at the possibility of wide-spread harm being done through not only our water supply, but our food supply as well.

Here’s an excerpt:

“In the event of an attack, the FBI would focus on the criminal investigation while the FDA and USDA center their attention on containing the public health risks. The FBI would collect the suspected hazardous material and send it to a network of labs with standardized procedures for identifying biological or chemical pathogens—a process that 10 years ago took days today takes hours. If the samples were positive, the FBI would establish a Joint Operations Center with representatives from Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, HHS, EPA, FDA, and FEMA, along with local law enforcement, public health officials, and scientists”

I have a lot of respect for the FBI, but FDA, EPA, and FEMA? Is that supposed to make me feel safer?

Keith Ellison follow up

I wrote in July about Keith Ellison, the democratic candidate for congress in Minnesota's 5th District. I warned that he could be another David Duke in disguise, and pointed out the liberals "double standard" in endorsing this candidate. I also had one person basically call me a racist and a idiot, which is a typical liberal response when he or she disagrees - resort to name-calling when you know absolutely nothing about me other than I don't agree with you.

I noticed another mention today of Ellison and thought I would post a link to it. This comes from a slightly different angle than I did, but is worth the read just as well. Here is an excerpt:

"As part of his political platform, Mr. Ellison is calling for an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and the impeachment of President Bush. Although he has every right to do so under US law, one must ask that if he is elected, will he serve his constituents in conformance with the constitution of the United States, or will he make decisions for the country as a result of the political doctrine imposed by his religion? An important aspect of our democratic society is the separation of church and state, which is the antithesis of orthodox Islam. Under Islam, there is no separation between church and state; Allah is the sole author of the law and it is up to the state to implement the laws of Allah. One only has to look at any country ruled by a Muslim government: the type of government is either dictatorial or autocratic. A true Muslim stipulates that the Qu’ran is the constitution."

The very fact that Ellison seems to have a chance at winning begs the question: Are there that many people that have succumbed to political correctness to the point of being unable to think rationally?
